Graphic Design

My career began in graphic design, and that creative foundation continues to influence everything I do. I earned my BFA in Visual Communication from Northern Arizona University, where I developed a deep appreciation for both digital and traditional design. During my studies, I immersed myself in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, while also refining my eye for composition and storytelling through photography, videography, typography, drawing, painting, and printmaking. Those early years gave me a broad creative toolkit and taught me how to balance form, function, and emotion in every design decision.

After graduating, I spent several years as a Production Artist, where precision and consistency were critical to success. I refined and finalized thousands of art pieces for print, mastering the full Adobe Creative Suite and developing an instinct for visual polish, hierarchy, and brand alignment. That experience taught me how to work efficiently under tight deadlines, how to maintain design integrity across formats, and how to elevate even small details into cohesive, professional assets.

Outside of full-time production work, I took on dozens of freelance projects, designing logos, brand identities, and marketing materials for clients across various industries. Over time, those projects evolved into collaborations that extended beyond static design, projects where I could merge my design sensibilities with product management, content creation, and game development.

Today, I still bring that design mindset to everything I create. Whether it’s crafting video thumbnails and motion graphics for my YouTube channel, designing packaging and promotional art for my board games, or producing visual assets and UI elements for Minecraft addons, design remains central to how I think and work. It’s second nature to me, part of how I solve problems, tell stories, and build experiences.

I may wear many hats now as a product designer and manager, but strong visual communication has always been the throughline. When you work with me, you’re not just getting someone who understands production pipelines, you’re getting someone who sees every stage of a project through a designer’s lens, ensuring the final result looks as good as it functions.

Dark Age of Camelot Logo Redesign

This project was a commission by Broadsword Games, who asked me to reimagine the Dark Age of Camelot Knot logo as well as the logos for the game’s three factions, Albion, Hibernia, and Midgard. The goal was to create high-fidelity, vectorized versions of each mark, complete with refined details that would hold up across a variety of merchandise and print formats while staying true to the original designs.

Each logo was rebuilt from scratch in Adobe Illustrator, with careful attention to line weight, symmetry, and texture to give the emblems a polished, modern finish. The final designs are still available for purchase through the official Dark Age of Camelot store, where they continue to celebrate the game’s visual legacy and its long-standing player community.

Dark Port Games Visual Identity & Logo Design

I developed the complete visual identity for Dark Port Games LLC and its flagship title, Pirates Dragons Treasure. This included creating custom logos and wordmarks that would establish a strong, recognizable presence for both the studio and the game. Each element was designed from the ground up to resonate with the gaming community, balancing a sense of adventure and fantasy with professional polish suitable for marketing, packaging, and digital storefronts.

The Pirates Dragons Treasure logo in particular embodies the spirit of the game through layered symbolism—a dragon skull representing the Dragons, crossed cutlass swords for the Pirates, and a compass ring signifying the pursuit of Treasure. Together, these motifs create a cohesive and iconic mark that anchors the game’s identity across all platforms, from cards and boxes to promotional materials and convention displays. My work on this project extends beyond wordmarks and logo design, for full details please visit my Game Design: Pirates Dragons Treasure project page.

YouTube Channel Branding & Visual Design

My YouTube channel has been an ongoing design project in itself, one that’s evolved alongside my growth as a creator. I’ve designed and redesigned my channel logo several times, each iteration refining my visual identity while drawing inspiration from my favorite fantasy worlds. The pixel self-portrait that accompanies it began as an extension of my pixel art practice and has become a signature element of my brand. I regularly update it to reflect my look and age, keeping it personal, consistent, and instantly recognizable across platforms.

Over time, I’ve also developed a distinct thumbnail style shaped by research, experimentation, and a deep understanding of what earns a click. With more than 200 thumbnails designed for my videos, I’ve honed a style that blends clarity, energy, and visual storytelling to capture attention while maintaining a cohesive channel aesthetic. This gallery features a curated selection of my favorite designs. Each thumbnail is a multi-layered composition that brings together a number of elements to draw attention in search results. For those interested in my full approach to content creation, including video production and editing, I’ve also shared additional details on my experience as a content creator and YouTube partner.

Minecraft Pixel Art & Branding

My work in Minecraft began as an exploration of pixel art and quickly grew into a comprehensive design project encompassing hundreds of custom icons, textures, and assets. Each pixel art icon was crafted in the style of Minecraft’s original item set, designed to feel authentic while expanding the game’s arsenal with new and imaginative items. These assets function as both 2D icons and 3D-rendered objects within the world, so I took special care to ensure visual consistency, balancing readability in player inventories with visual depth in-world. Many of these items also incorporate custom modeling and JavaScript behavior to enhance their realism and functionality.

Beyond item design, I’ve developed dozens of unique armor and player skin textures, often working at double the native resolution to capture fine details and improve visual fidelity. This gallery also highlights examples of the branding and presentation system I established for my Minecraft Addon collection, ensuring a cohesive visual identity across all packs. Vector Illustration & Assorted Design Work

This collection showcases a range of projects that demonstrate my versatility across the Adobe Creative Suite, with a particular emphasis on vector illustration and precision design in Adobe Illustrator. From one-off logo designs and brand marks to redrawn raster graphics and detailed upscales, each piece highlights my ability to refine, modernize, and elevate visual assets for print and digital use.

While I no longer have access to the thousands of designs I refined during my time at Custom Ink, the works featured here are representative of that same level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. They include vectorized recreations of legacy artwork, bespoke client logos, and marketing visuals that capture clean geometry, balanced composition, and professional polish—hallmarks of a designer fluent in both creative expression and technical execution.
