Six years ago, in April of 2020, the world shut down and I started a YouTube channel. I wasn’t the only one, but here I am, still going strong six years later.
At the time it was just something fun to do while I was stuck at home. I wanted to share my Minecraft base designs and my ESO houses and thought it might be fun to make some videos. I’ve always loved designing things in games, whether it be characters, houses, cities, or bases, and the YouTube channel started as a way to share those creations.
I hoped, but certainly never expected it to grow into what it is today.
The Kalam0n YouTube channel is approaching 15,000 subscribers. The Discord community is nearing 400 people. I get to make videos about The Elder Scrolls Online every week and talk about the game with my fellow citizens of Tamriel! But perhaps more importantly, this has been an incredible creative outlet of its own. My background is in Graphic Design and I had some video editing experience, but creating weekly videos has helped me dramatically improve those skills and refine others like script writing, and digital marketing.
After joining the ESO Content Creator Program in late 2024, I started taking content creation a little more seriously. It felt like a vote of confidence, and I felt like I finally knew what I was doing, kind of. This led to some incredible channel growth in 2025.

So, I just wanted to take a minute today to talk a little bit about how I’m approaching things in 2026.
I Only Want to Make Videos About Games I Love
That might sound obvious, but at the end of the day, this is not a job, I’m not here for the ad revenue. I make videos about the games I’m excited about. I’m excited about Update 49 and the future of ESO, I like showing off my latest character design or a new inn room, and you can absolutely expect that to continue. I’m also working hard to publish more videos more often. I have a huge backlog of video ideas, and I want to carve out space to make new types of videos too.

This channel exists because I enjoy talking about ESO. I’m not interested in chasing trends or forcing coverage of whatever happens to be popular that week, just sharing thoughts about the games that genuinely interest me. That does mean that I don’t really adhere to a schedule, but I’m still aiming to deliver one longform video per week.
ESO has been my favorite MMO for a long time now. It’s a game with incredible creative systems and you’ve heard me talk about the best-in-class housing, the character fashion, the character builds, and I’ve enjoyed sharing more of my opinions when it comes to the design and upcoming features.
So that’s what you’ll continue to see on YouTube and to some extent here on this blog.
- Guides for New Players
- House Design Projects
- Fashion and Character Design
- Game Design Discussion
- ESO News and Updates
If it’s something I find interesting or worth talking about, it’ll probably show up on the channel.
I Do Want to Help Make ESO More Accessible
Beyond creating for the sake of creating (and showing off my designs), I do want my content to be useful. One thing that has always frustrated me about MMOs is how difficult they can be for new players. I love these worlds and I know there’s more people out there who would enjoy them, but there is a steep learning curve.
The systems and terminology can be confusing and sometimes the communities around these games assume everyone already knows how everything works. I know ZeniMax is hard at work trying to correct this, but in the meantime, I have an entire series of videos planned to cover some of these “ESO Basics”.
I may not truly be a casual player, but I do try to approach the game from the perspective of someone who remembers what it felt like to be new. I want to make videos that help new players enjoy the game.
Design Is REally At the Heart of Everything I Do
However, more than anything else, I do love designing things in games. I’ve always enjoyed designing character in RPGs, laying out towns in city-builders, and when it comes to MMOs, I have to have a good housing system. That passion for design and customization has always been the heart of my YouTube channel and really everything I do. Even when I’m making guides or talking about updates, I’m often thinking about how it will support greater design and customization flexibility.
It seems like I’ve managed to find an audience out there who appreciates this approach because the community keeps growing. But I always appreciate hearing your feedback – don’t hesitate to let me know what sorts of videos you want to see in the future.

Support Without Paywalls
Over the years, people asked how they could support the channel, which is why I created a Patreon. But I’ve never been particularly fond of putting content behind paywalls and I’ve wrestled with how to approach this because the additional support has been very helpful, but I don’t want another platform to manage.
I tried releasing videos early on Patreon or posting behind-the-scenes stuff, longer edits, but it just didn’t seem like it was worth the extra effort. I don’t really want to be spending time on that or pay-walling anything when I could be making another video for everyone. So, I’ve updated the Patreon, it’s there simply for people who want to support my content more directly and I’ve set the main tier to just $1, treat it like a tip jar if you’re inclined. Every dollar that goes into the Patreon gets reinvested back into the channel. Previous Patreon support has helped upgrade my recording equipment and pay for the software I use to make the videos. If you really want to support the channel directly, here’s the link to the Patreon.
If you support the Patreon, you’re helping to make the channel and videos even better. Thank you!
Looking Ahead
The best news is that 2026 feels like an exciting time, both for the channel and ESO. I’ve been carving out a bit of extra time to make more videos and trying to find ways to speed up my editing process. This has allowed me to just about double the number of videos I can make which means I can cover new topics, and I won’t stress too much about individual video performance.

Update 49 is around the corner, and everything we’ve heard about the rest of the year suggests that the game is heading the right direction, at least for a player like me. At the same time, the rest of the MMO landscape is looking a little rough. I was planning to check out Ashes of Creation when it launched, and I planned to return to Amazon’s New World to give it another shot this year, but both projects have been canceled.
They never had a chance to steal my attention for long, but now there’s no real distractions. I hope ya’ll are ready for nonstop ESO coverage!
At the end of the day, I just want to get better as a creator and keep making content about the games I love. I want to help new players understand the game systems a little better and I want to share my creations and designs with the ESO community.
So here’s to another year of videos, builds, design discussions, and whatever other ideas come along the way. If you’re here watching them, talking about them, or sharing them with someone else… thank you. It really does mean a lot.
